Over dinner today, my friend B told me that A mentioned my article about UluYam was out in today’s star. Hmmm…I remembered I sent the pix (photo play) for R.AGE…but main star? hmmm…oh yeah, that weekend tales stuff - ages ago! Man…after my finals & when I was on hols tat time tu…

Asked my parents to keep it for me, they oso tak perasan till I told.

Mmmm…I hope Boh & Mal doesnt murder me for it. =p Above is the link…here’s the text.

Sweet escape

Two ex-schoolmates and I planned a weekend escape to Ulu Yam. Ah Boh, a Queen’s Guide cum accountant, Farhan Wong – a King’s Scout cum lifesaver cum computer-guy, and yours truly – a fresh-out-of-University girl who doesn’t even swim. A Christian, a Muslim, and a Hindu – perfect example of racial and religious integration. So different? yet so similar. Besides hailing from the same school and hometown, we were all nature lovers yearning to escape the madness of city life!

We chose to drive deeper into the Sungai Tua waterfalls in Ulu Yam, to escape the noise and crowd. Leaving all our handphones and watches in the car, we climbed down the rocks with only food, change of clothes and a camera.

There were just a few other picnickers there. We frolicked in the water for hours? inching nearer and nearer to the falls, till we were standing right inside the waterfalls! Free massage anyone? Our fun was only multiplied with all our silly posing immortalised in the digi-cam – we were like kids once again.

Surrounded by lush greenery, we basked in the sun and enjoyed the cool water.

Time stopped for us. Finally when we were hungry, we tucked into our home-made sandwiches, honey-drink, and bananas. That Saturday’s picnic was a perfect weekend for me. Everyone should have that kind of experience!

I’m always up for another such getaway.

Indeed ’sweet escape’ was a sweet surprise for me. Maybe rekindling the writer in me too :) But too bad I’m on call tomorrow and can’t layan the budding writing mood…arrgh, I so have to sleep now to function tomolow. But most likely this’ my last call in Orthopaedics

Hi all….sounds like i’ve got some good news :)

I’ve never really been a believer of all this internet business, but everything’s got a beginning, right? :)
