For those who do not know, MAKNA is a Non-Governmental Organization that stands true to its acronym…giving MEANING to the life of those afflicted with cancer & its survivors. And no doubt, anyone who’s involved with cancer work would learn more about Life…and Death…which can only make our own lives even more meaningful.

I DO NOT gain anything by recruiting more people. I’ve personally seen the effect of cancer on its unfortunate victims…and family. During my short stint in HOSPIS Malaysia as an undergraduate, some patients’ approach to LIFE have made some impact on me…yup, I learnt a lot from them. The finer aspects of life…one which makes people stronger.

The littlest way in which one could hopefully make a small change in the noble effort of this NGO.
The more the merrier…I thought.

So…fret not. You dont have to be a registered volunteer nor a person with medical background to be a volunteer of attend this weekend’s programme. Even if you are apprehensive about the role you could play, no harm in trying. There’s a role for everyone’s talent and personality.

Venue: 1st Floor, MAKNA HQ

Time: 9am - 1pm

Programme: We’ll be briefed on the activities on MAKNA, how volunteers could help out: in any way that’s suitable for you(Entertainment…Education…Administration…e tc etc)
…while spreading cancer awareness…and many more I’m sure.

At the end of the half-day event, if you decide to contribute as a volunteer in your area…you can always sign up as a member! You’ll then be contacted for future events
