Fildena FAQ

What is Fildena?

The Fildena is a drug that restores erectile function in men with impotence. It is the first of its kind and acts selectively on the penis. This is not a hormone or an aphrodisiac.

Is it a safe drug?

Yes, it is. Fildena was tested in 4,500 people in clinical tests. The incidence of adverse side effects causing patients to abandon the treatment was equal to that of patients taking placebo.

How does the pill?

Fildena works by increasing the relaxation of the muscles of the penis. When an erection occurs, the smooth muscles of the penis and arteries surrounding the body should be relaxed. Fildena maximizes the relaxation and increases the efficiency of erection. The enzyme on which the drug is is the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5), which is almost exclusively in the penis. More information here.

Does the medication cause relaxation of all the smooth muscles of the body?

No. The enzyme (PDE-5) works specifically at the penis. The minimal cross reaction is responsible for the side effects.
